I wrote this poem about a true to life encounter my friend Victor Levan had. Go over to his blog for the whole story. Vinny2025.blogspot.com

The Man Within the Wheelchair
By LeBron Keener
The man within the wheelchair,
On the sidewalk in the town,
Pitiful upon first glance,
With his stare upon the ground.
He needed a short ride,
To the doctor down the road,
At first, you start to drive away,
But God had told you, "No."
You ask him how he's doing,
And he simply says, "I'm blessed."
A chill comes in your heart,
And all your doubts at rest.
He didn't have his legs,
He was blind and couldn't see,
But he saw more than I did—
An angel, sent to me.
I took him to the doctor,
He left me at my car,
Never did I think again,
That life for me is hard.
He said his name was Vinny,
And like him, I want to be,
Blessed within my trials,
For it's God who spoke to me.
