🌄The Promise of Tomorrow - A Devotional By LeBron Keener

You may have heard the phrase, "Tomorrow is not promised." It's a sobering reminder that life on earth is fragile and uncertain. But for those who belong to Jesus Christ, this statement takes on a deeper, more hopeful meaning.

It's true—tomorrow is not promised here on earth. But in Christ, we are given a greater promise—one that reaches beyond this life. Through faith in Him, we are assured of an eternal tomorrow. Heaven is not a possibility; it's a promise for those who are saved.

So yes, tomorrow is promised—in eternity.

As 2 Corinthians 5:8 declares:

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

This is our hope. This is our assurance.

So the next time you hear someone say, “Tomorrow is not promised,” just smile. Because if Jesus Christ is in your heart, you know that your tomorrow is eternally secure.

But remember—this promise isn't universal. For those without Christ, tomorrow is also promised… but not in the way they might hope. The Bible warns of another destination—one of judgment, separation from God, and eternal regret.

That's why it's urgent to share the gospel. For the unbeliever, the phrase “Tomorrow is not promised” is a call to action. It's a reminder that today is the day of salvation.

"For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, And in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
(2 Corinthians 6:2)

Only when a person accepts Christ does the phrase become truly fulfilled—not as a warning of doom, but as a guarantee of eternal life.
